Tilapia is a farmed fish imported from China. Tilapia's farms are located in the Southern part of the country, mainly from Hainan Island. Fish is trimmed, this means that a layer of fat is removed from the fish fillet. Tilapia from Hainan Island is deprived of bones and has very mild meat.
